KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate the transport operations (daily)
- Develop and supervise daily, weekly and monthly transport schedules (frequencies, lead times,….)with transport service providers.
- Operate transport activity of the perimeter in line with customer needs, economic commitments and efficient shipment delivery.
- Ensure safety protocols are respected for all service providers during supplier factory, PFS, warehouse and store transport operations, especially in parking, loading and unloading areas.
- Implement and manage administrative practices and procedures for securing goods flows.
- Address any customs issues of your flows to transport and customs coordinators teams.
- Manage returns workflow and reverse transport operations.
- Control and validate transport invoicing with the accounting department and ensure payment terms are met.
- Resolve operational issues, including disputes and claims, with transport service providers.
- Follow and apply contingency plans for carrier disruptions.
2. Ensure customer satisfaction in downstream delivery (SLA, innovation)
- Monitor loadings arrival, carrier no-show, delivery performance and track lead time gaps.
- Prepare, communicate activity forecasts to shipping locations and manage carriers capacity.
- Analyze data to identify and implement performance improvement plans.
- Conduct regular performance meetings with transport service providers.
- Optimize transport load capacities in cooperation with logistics and loading bay teams, reducing the number of required trips, thus lowering fuel consumption and decreasing carbon emissions.
- Manage reimbursement process with carriers in case of damaged and lost orders claim.
- Contribute and share best local practices with the united transport community.
3. Execute and contribute to the transport strategy
- Support the integration of transport activities with overall supply chain strategies, collaborating with stakeholders and transport service providers.
- Build and maintain a healthy, reliable, and high-performing carrier panel that aligns with purchasing policy.
- Support Indirect Purchase teams, by providing the right information for tender and negotiations.
- Plan and guarantee the transport budget to meet financial targets.
- Execute the downstream transport strategy, by supervising contracts and managing service level agreements with transport providers, all while complying with transport regulations.
- Manage requests for special transports and have a network of carriers capable of responding.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols for all local transportation activities.
- Drive sustainable domestic transport improvements for lower environmental impact.
- Innovate by proposing and testing different transport solutions.
- Stay informed about the delivery market and regularly meet new players.
