As an E-Category Specialist, you will define and execute ambitious sales strategies and annual business trajectories while rigorously tracking local KPIs. You are responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from data-driven assortment selection and competitive pricing to stock management and end-of-life transitions. By optimizing digital merchandising—including landing pages, search results, and content marketing—you will enhance product discovery and boost online conversion rates. You will collaborate with growth marketing and retail teams to drive customer acquisition and ensure a seamless, omnichannel experience for every shopper. Additionally, you will implement circular economy models and automation tactics to personalize the user journey and foster long-term loyalty. Your role bridges the gap between digital expertise and physical retail to maximize the commercial success of your category.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and execute online category sales and strategies
Own the commercial success of my category within the country, rigorously tracking and driving key performance indicators.
Develop and implement an ambitious annual business trajectory and supporting weekly action plans, ensuring alignment with supply chain capabilities and global strategies.
Define and execute impactful local promotions and commercial activations, in collaboration with growth marketing teams.
Support the implementation of circular economy models for the category.
2. Develop and manage merchandising & digital content
Enhance product discovery and boost online conversion
Activate the tree structure of my category according to Decathlon's digital merchandising guidelines.
Own and optimize category-specific landing pages (PLPs, PDPs) and understand their impact on the overall checkout process.
Optimize internal search engine and internal search result page.
Drive content marketing plan for my category.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all category pages and landing pages.
Share best practices with counterparts in countries and zones.
3. Shape market and local digital assortment
Continuously monitor the local market and digital competitors (activities, pricing, assortment).
Manage the product lifecycle, from ensuring optimal stock and availability to efficient end-of-life management, in close coordination with the supply chain.
Analyze my local digital assortment's performance to make data-driven product selections.
Partner with brands and marketplace counterparts to optimize the product discovery process and boost performances.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in e-commerce.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
4. Enhance customer acquisition and experience
Drive customer acquisition and foster loyalty (CLV), through the category attractiveness, efficiency and visibility.
Collect and analyze user feedback across all digital touchpoints within the categories.
Configurate automation tactics to personalize the user's journey.
Facilitate the transfer of digital-exclusive product knowledge to retail teams.
Collaborate with retail teams to cultivate a cohesive omnichannel experience, driving seamless online-to-offline journeys for customers.
Work together with digital commerce experts in order to create maximum value in the online journey.
