We are looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Decathlon’s social media strategy by monitoring social media trends, generating engaging content, and reporting on performance to optimize social media campaigns.

Your goal will be to enhance brand presence, engage with our audience, and drive business objectives through social media channels (paid and organic).


Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Strategy Development

The Social Marketer is responsible for creating and implementing social media strategies that align with Decathlon’s brand goals and engage the target audience effectively

  • Develop a comprehensive social media strategy that includes content themes, posting schedules, and engagement tactics for various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Linkedin).
  • Develop content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting across all social media platforms. Create and maintain a social media content calendar that integrates both organic and paid social media efforts, in line with business objectives, and seasonal trends for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Linkedin.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to inform the strategy.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for social media campaigns to measure success and adjust tactics as needed.
  • Monitor paid social budgets to ensure campaigns are cost-effective and provide a strong ROI.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platform changes, and industry best practices to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.


2. Content Creation and Community Management

Create and manage engaging content for social media channels to attract and retain followers, drive brand awareness, and build communities.

  • Create or oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content (e.g., images, videos, posts) that aligns with the brand’s voice and resonates with the target audience

  • Monitor and respond to audience interactions, comments, and messages to foster engagement and build community.

  • Monitor social sentiment and provide feedback to other teams regarding community concerns or praises.

  • Discover, identify, and leverage cross-promotions and partnership opportunities (with influencers, brands, industry leaders, and media outlets) to extend the reach and visibility of the brand and grow engagement.


3. Optimization, Analytics, and Reporting

Tracking and analyzing social media performance to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and provide insights for continuous improvement.


What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related fields.
  • At least 3 years of Social Media Marketing and Management Experience, preferably in a Retail Industry.
  • Marketing Fundamentals: In depth knowledge of Marketing Fundamentals and the ability to strategize and execute based on business and marketing objectives.
  • Creativity and Innovation (Content Creation): A proven ability to think outside the box and develop content that stands out in the market, skillful in creating and editing engaging content for various social media platforms, including familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Capcut, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Premier is a plus).
